Mushroom is the middle step of our neutral range — a warm, smoky greige with a soft taupe undertone, deeper than our silver grey but well short of the near-black drama of charcoal.
The warm brown
A lot of dark neutrals feel cold. Mushroom doesn't — it's a warm, earthy brown with a soft taupe undertone that sits as happily against warm woods, creams and linens as it does against crisp white. If you've ever felt charcoal or black was too stark for your bedroom, this is the softer, warmer alternative.
And it keeps the practical benefit of a deeper shade: forgiving between washes, with overnight skincare and hair oils far less visible than on light colours.
A warm neutral that works
We make three greys, and the honest guide is this: our silver grey is the light, cool neutral — the easiest to match. Charcoal is the near-black — the most dramatic. Mushroom is the one in between, and the warmest of the three.
